Produced by Jamie O’Reilly and Tre Kronor Restaurant, Roots Midsummer Fest on July 13, 2025, is a two-show event in Tre Kronor’s magical garden. Musical acts from Roots Salons
– hosted by O’Reilly at the popular Northside bistro – will be featured along with special guests. Two different shows – at 4:30 and 7:00 pm, will feature a variety of acts ranging from American folk, Irish, blues, alt folk, doo-wop rock, classical, acoustic jazz and musical theater genres. Charismatic singer/actor Victor Holstein will emcee the event, which features Paul Amandes (singer/songwriter), Jimmy Conway (trad Irish and American blues), John Erickson (jazz piano), Katrina Loundy (musical theater), Willa Moore (performance poet), Ned O’Reilly (70s pop), Joe and Rue (alt folk), Peter Swenson Collective (jazz), Salon Rero (Brooklyn acoustic trio), Steve Vazquez (classical guitar), and Steve Zahradnik (folk and swing), as well as Jamie (variety) and Midnight Moxie – the doo-wop rock trio that includes daughters Meg Broz, Nia
O’Reilly-Amandes, and Sarah Chang.
The garden gate opens at 4:00 PM. Guests are seated outside in the garden decorated in flags and flowers, in the Scandinavian summer tradition. Swedish-American cuisine, offered on a
small-plate menu, will feature summerfare, created by chef and owner Patty Rasmussen. Alcoholic beverages are BYOB.
The garden is handicapped accessible. (Indoors if it rains.) Street parking. Tickets are $30 for admission. Children under 12 are free. Food and drink are charged separately. Artist merchandise will be on sale. Event link:
