SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The independence day celebrations are already gearing up in our area with an Effingham County tradition. The Freedom Rings event will paint the town red, white and blue with a parade and music festival this Saturday.
There will be floats, bands and later vendors and live music. Rincon Mayor Pro Tem Mona Underwood and Public Information Officer Gena Sullivan joined Morning Break to share more details.
The parade steps off at Rincon Elementary School at 10 a.m. The Music Festival will begin at 2 p.m. at Freedom Park. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:15 p.m.
Lawn chairs and blankets are allowed, but coolers are prohibited.
