From songwriter for musical icons such as Aretha Franklin, to her own place in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Carole King stands out in history as one of the greatest singer/songwriters of the 20th century. Her inspiring story is told through the chart-topping hits we all remember, such as “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” and “One Fine Day.”
Beautiful: The Carole King Musical will be live at Greenbrier Valley Theater from June 27 through July 12 on the following dates: A pay-what-you-can preview performance on June 26 at 7:30 p.m., then a 7:30 p.m. showing on June 27, 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. showings on June 28, a 2:30 p.m. showing on June 29, a 7:30 p.m. showing on July 2, a 7:30 p.m. showing on July 3, a 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. showing on July 5, a 2:30 p.m. showing on July 6, a 7:30 p.m. showing on July 10, and a 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. showing on July 12.
This musical is based on the book by Douglas McGrath, with words and music by Gerry Goffin, Carole King, Barry Mann, and Cynthia Weil, and music by arrangements with Sony Music Publishing. Orchestrations, vocal, and incidental music arrangements are by Steve Sidwell, with additional music arrangements by Jason Howland.
