NEWBURGH, Ind. (WFIE) – Summer fun is going on this weekend in Newburgh.
The fourth annual Newburgh Music Festival kicked off Saturday.
Entry to the festival grounds is free, allowing everyone to partake in a day full of music, food, and family fun.
It’s out at the Old Lock and Dam Park, where, despite the heat, people are coming out to enjoy everything the festival has to offer.
The free admission is a huge draw this year, allowing everyone to enjoy the diverse musicians.
For those looking to cool down with refreshments, the American Legion Beer Garden is open on the park’s east side.
Entry to the beer garden requires a $10 wristband.
Organizers say the highly anticipated fireworks display will kick off at 9 p.m.
“We’re just excited to be out here. We want to be part of the events that our community goes to, and we want to be a good community partner. So, we’re just out here to support,” said attendee Ashley Mooney.
We’ll have a recap of the event tonight on 14 News.
