Easingwold marketplace played host to the York-based Kaminari UK Taiko Drummers who entertained onlookers with their theatrical and dynamic drumming performance.
The showcase was part of Easingwold’s Summer of Music which continues with its annual free all-day music and beer festival, Rocking All Over The Wold, this Saturday 12 July.

Inspired by the group, the community ensemble Funamachi Taiko which is based in Shipton by Beningbrough then took to the stage to deliver a spirited performance, showcasing the skills they’ve developed under Kaminaro’s guidance.
Onlookers of all ages were then invited to try their hand at Taiko drumming and gave an impromptu performance to the delight of spectators.
Kaminaro Taiko drummers will be performing their show ‘Roku’ – a rhythmic musical journey through Japan – at the Galtres Centre on October 25.
