Unbound Chamber Music Festival returns on July 16 | News

Featured on the program are the Felici Piano Trio, violist Amadi Azikiwe and cellist Andrew Shulman.

On Friday night, July 18, “Food of Love” will feature the savory sounds of composers from three centuries.

Violinists Tereza Stanislav and Jessica Guideri team-up with violist Robert Brophy for Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály’s Terzetto, which was praised by his contemporary Béla Bartók as “A little masterpiece … every movement is distinct in its musical narrative, the last movement sparkles with folk dance energy.”

Joshua Anderson, professor of clarinet at University of Nevada, Reno, will be featured in Ludwig van Beethoven’s Trio for Piano Clarinet and Cello, followed by Johannes Brahms’ Piano Quartet opus 25, an emotionally rousing work from the composer’s youth.

Both concerts will be held at Cerro Coso College in Mammoth Lakes.

As diverse as the music are the performers who join the resident Felici Piano Trio for two weeks of concerts. The 2025 roster is made up of professional musicians with leading positions in ensembles such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the Hawaii Symphony, as well as professors at the music schools of University of Southern California, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and University of California, Los Angeles.
