JACKSON, Tenn.—A local festival aids a collaborative initiative that is making a difference in the lives of children.
The 7th annual Jacob Barker Music Festival joined forces with the 2025 Hub City BBQ Festival for a fundraiser benefitting Make-A-Wish.
Each year, the Jacob Barker Music Festival raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant a wish.
The 2025 partnership is expected to boost both attendance and fundraising efforts, all while offering an unforgettable community experience.
The event not only offers live music but also includes vendors on site and a silent auction.
Saturday guests attended the check presentation with Ronnie Barker at the Amp in downtown Jackson.
Ronnie Barker presented a check for $8,000 from the Jacob Barker Music Festival to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“He’s one of a few volunteers for us in the area. He covers more than one wish at a time. He does this because his son received a wish through the organization and it means a great deal to have this level of support in Jackson, Tennessee,” said Lydia Miller, Development Specialist for Make-A-Wish Mid-South.
Make-A-Wish grants tens of thousands of wishes annually, with recent global numbers around 28,000 wishes granted in a single year.
