The Peacemaker Festival returns to the Fort Smith Riverfront for its 11th year. It brings country music stars to the River Valley. Trent Goins, who cofounded the festival, said the festival brings in artists from all over. Performers include headliner Stephen Wilson Jr., William Clark Green and Sam Barber. “It’s just a jam-packed weekend of Americana, red dirt, country music,” Goins said. “This is probably one of the only atmospheres in the country where you can see these artists in a smaller atmosphere. “It’s more than a music festival. Every year, Peacemaker raises money for children’s charities across the River Valley. Goins said they’ve donated more than $1 million.”I’ve always believed that music brings people together. It doesn’t matter, we don’t talk about politics here,” Goins said. “We don’t talk about anything other than coming and having a good time.” Gates open at 4 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday at Harry E. Kelly River Park. Tickets are available on the festival’s website.
