The Breakaway Music Festival is set to take over Cal Expo this weekend with two days of EDM music. Exclusive video from Livecopter 3 Thursday shows crews setting up the main stage and testing out the lights. Organizers tell KCRA 3 they are expecting about 8,000 people per day. The lineup includes artists like Tiesto, Elderbrook, Martin Garrix, and Louis the Child. More than 50 local artists will also have the chance to play at the silent disco stage. “From the biggest and the best globally-renowned DJs in the world to local favorites is something that I encourage people to come and just enjoy,” Jarrod Fucci, Breakaway President, said. “This is a place where you can come as you are. We really pride ourselves on an inclusive environment.”This is the festival’s first year in Sacramento after spending the last three years in San Francisco.“We made the move to Sacramento because we really believe in the vibrancy, the cultural powerhouse that is Sacramento. Music obviously plays such an integral part of this community. There are so many amazing shows that take place here, and we felt like this was a really great long-term home for the festival,” Fucci said. Sacramento marks the 12th and final stop of the 2025 Breakaway tour. Festival Information:Hours: The festival runs from 4 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11. On Sunday, it is open from 3 to 10:30 p.m. Tickets: Single-day passes and two-day passes are both available. The festival is only for those 18 and older. There is no same-day re-entry. You can buy tickets here. Parking: Parking will be available for $20 per car at Lots D, C, and A on the festival grounds. Rideshare: Both pick-up and drop-off locations will be at Cal Expo Lot D. Water: Organizers encourage ticketholders to bring reusable, refillable water bottles. They have to be empty in order to enter. There will be complimentary water refill stations throughout the festival site.
