Eleven places in eastern MA to dine outdoors with live entertainment

If you’re looking for a memorable, lively evening while enjoying dinner outdoors, you can certainly venture into Boston to find it. But you don’t have to. Several suburban restaurants offer patio dining with entertainment.

Former software executive John Thibault brought his vision of a music restaurant and bar to life at Goodnight Johnny’s Music Bar, 154 Cambridge St., Burlington. The restaurant offers casual dining on its outside patio every night, with a musician or band along with it. Visit https://goodnightjohnnys.com/ to see who’s playing.

But if you do want to venture into Boston for a more upscale dining experience, “Summer in the City” at the Rowes Wharf Sea Grill at Boston Harbor Hotel is sure to please, offering live music right on Boston Harbor. The series runs from Tuesdays through Fridays until Aug. 29, and includes jazz, soul, country, rhythm and blues, and more.
