Askambury took place at Askam United FC on Saturday, July 5, providing a range of live entertainment for the crowds and championing plenty of local performers.
Whilst the weather was not perfect, this did not stop those in attendance from having a good time.
The organisers said: “To everyone who bought a ticket, to everyone who stayed and danced in the rain and to all of our fantastic acts – thank you.
“It was another fantastic day, not only for our football club but for Askam as a whole.
“Whilst we had hoped for sunshine all day, we knew fine well that Askambury is unique and that a bit of rain wouldn’t put anyone off – and it didn’t.”

Music came from the Askam Town Band, Divers Green, The Gears, Leon Knight, Joel Talbot featuring Si Sax, Neon Spacetrain, Afterglow, In Your Honour, and The Dales.
“A massive thank you again to all of our sponsors, supporters and volunteers – we couldn’t do it without you,” the Askambury spokesperson added.
“There’s so many people we could name, however we’d like to give a special shout out to Dave Tippett – an unsung hero of the Askambury family.”

Hosts Askam United FC praised those who turned up for the occasion, which helps support the club and maintains its presence in the community.
They commented: “[An] absolutely unbelievable day again, a bit different to the usual sunshine we have but everyone made the most of it.
“Massive thank you to Matty Gribbin for organising such a good day again – it wouldn’t be possible without him and every single volunteer that helped in the build up, on the day & with clean up.
“[It was a] massive day for the club and every single one of you are invaluable to us.”
