Mightly Hoopla, one of the most popular festivals in the UK, is coming to Australia for the first time.
The LGBTQ+-friendly festival will make its debut in Australia on February 21, 2026, taking over Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
“It’s official. Mightly Hoopla is going Down Under,” the festival announced on Instagram.
“We’re bringing the UK’s biggest pop festival to Sydney to party with you all in the sunshine in 2026.”
US pop star Kesha has been announced as the first headlining act and the festival promises the rest of the line-up will be revealed shortly.
“We are over the bloody moon to announce that our headliner is the one… the only… KESHA,” the announcement read.
“Fresh off her triumphant headline slot at our 2025 show, Kesha will be bringing pure gaggery, hits, vocals and more to the first ever Mighty Hoopla Sydney show.
“You aren’t ready for what she has in store.”
Aussie pop fans won’t have to wait too long for the rest of the line-up, with acts likely to be released over the coming months.
Mighty Hoopla has promised Bondi Beach will be hit with “the best of the UK and Australia’s LGBTQ+ collectives and artists”.
Earlier this year, the festival took over London’s Brockwell Park and headliners included US R&B star Ciara, noughties garage icon Daniel Bedingfield and Real Housewives star Erika Jayne.
Mightly Hoopla Sydney will take place one week before the Mardi Gras parade and will see music return to Bondi for the season after the Bondi Beach Party, which ran for two years in 2023 and 2024, was cancelled.
The festival, which also hosts Hoopla Malta, a yearly weekend in the Mediterranean, has seen several Aussie pop acts headline in the past including The Veronicas, comprised of identical twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, and Delta Goodrem.
Mighty Hoopla is the latest music festival taking over Bondi with the iconic location hosting its first NYE party in more than 10 years with elrow Bondi Beach XXL.
Tickets for Mightly Hoopla Sydney go on sale Wednesday, October 22 at 10am, for presale, and Thursday, October 23 at 10am, for general sale.
