
The diverse spirit of South African heritage took centre stage at the official media launch of the inaugural Imbawula Music Festival on June 20, at Artistry in Sandton.
The event marked the exciting debut of a festival deeply inspired by local traditions.

Drawing its name from the imbawula, a traditional coal heater widely used in township homes, the festival celebrates more than just music.
It honours the spirit of community, storytelling, and shared history that the imbawula represents.
