Oneohtrix Point Never Announces New Album Tranquilizer, Shares Songs: Listen

Daniel Lopatin has announced a new Oneohtrix Point Never album: Tranquilizer is out digitally on November 17; physical editions follow on November 21 via Warp. Below, listen to the new album’s first three tracks, “For Residue,” “Bumpy,” and “Lifeworld.”

“It’s a record shaped by commercial audio construction kits from a bygone era—an index of cliches turned inside out,” Lopatin said of Tranquilizer in a press release. “It is a return to a process-oriented form of music making for me that I felt best evoked a certain kind of madness and ennui in the heart of culture today.”

Tranquilizer follows the 2023 Oneohtrix Point Never album Again. Lopatin scored the new Josh Safdie film Marty Supreme, the Timothée Chalamet vehicle that hits U.S. theaters on December 25.
