Rock for Relief WNC returns for its 2nd annual music festival

Rock for Relief WNC returns for its second year, starting Oct. 3 through Oct. 4 at Miller Street in downtown Waynesville.

The two-day event, born out of Hurricane Helene, is expected to surpass the success of the previous event, which took place in November 2024 after the storm.

This year’s event will have a diverse array of 30 to 40 performances. The event will also feature numerous vendors and food trucks.

The main stage headliner for Friday, Oct. 3, will be the beloved rock act Big Something Unplugged, with Asheville-based Billingsley opening the festivities.

Saturday, Oct. 4, the main stage headliner will be Nashville blues-rocker Patrick Sweany, with the opening acts throughout the afternoon will include Asheville All-Star Jam, Red Clay Revival (Americana/indie), Pleasure Chest (blues/soul), and Arnold Hill (rock/jam).

Rock for Relief was initially entirely cost-free; however, Rock for Relief organizers anticipate substantial expenses and have been diligently working to secure necessary funds through efforts like the concert.
