Roundabouts to be operational before Boots on the Bayou music festival

Ascension Parish government announced the roundabouts along Hwy. 30 at the two interstate ramp intersections and St. Landry Road will be operational prior to the Boots on the Bayou music festival Oct. 31-Nov. 1.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has been constructing the roundabouts in the area surrounding Interstate 10 in Gonzales.

The two-day festival will be held at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center, which is located along St. Landry Road.

The center is located less than 30 minutes from Baton Rouge and less than an hour from New Orleans.

Scheduled performers include Keith Urban, Chris Stapleton, Paker McCollum, Carly Pearce, Riley Green, Marcus King Band, Maddox Batson, Tyler Braden, Chase Tyler, John Foster, Elle King, Ashley Cooke and Kruse Brothers.

The festival’s promoters announced Urban as a headlining act after Cody Johnson canceled his scheduled performances for the remainder of the year due to a severe sinus infection and upper respiratory infection that required surgery.
