This autumn, Pančevo will once again host one of the longest-running music events dedicated to the domestic world music scene – the Ethno.com Festival, which will be held for the 22nd time on the 17th and 18th of October at the stage of the Pančevo Cultural Centre.
During the two festival evenings, audiences will enjoy performances by four ensembles from Serbia that uniquely combine traditional music with contemporary musical expression, improvisation, and an original artistic approach.
The festival will open on 17 October at 8 p.m. on the Cultural Centre stage with a performance by the Danijela Veselinović Trio, led by the first lady of the Serbian trumpet – an artist whose melody, strength, and sincerity have captivated audiences around the world for two decades. While a large orchestra can set crowds in motion with its energetic brass groove, this trio charmingly plays with emotion and melody, moving effortlessly from original folk tunes and Šumadija dance rhythms to Latin beats and Frank Sinatra classics. The trio consists of Danijela Veselinović on trumpet, Goran Stevanović on piano, and Bojan Veselinović on percussion.
The Ethno.com – World Music Festival 2025 once again confirms its status as an important meeting point for artists devoted to exploring and reinterpreting the traditional music of Serbia and the Balkans. Over the course of two decades, Ethno.com has developed a distinctive identity as a festival that preserves heritage while simultaneously opening it to modern expression, offering audiences in Pančevo the opportunity each autumn to experience music that bridges generations, sensibilities, and artistic approaches.
The festival is sponsored by the Pančevo authorities, and admission to all concerts is free of charge.
