Two-day Grouse Fest set to strike a chord with Manorlands

The event, at The Grouse Inn, Oldfield, is being held in support of the Sue Ryder hospice.

Locally-based musicians will perform at Grouse Fest, which takes place on Friday, August 22, and Saturday, August 23.

And other attractions lined up include a bouncy castle, glitter face painting, a hog roast, barbecue, freshly-made paella, an ice cream van, an outdoor bar and a variety of stalls selling sweets, jewellery and other goods.

The event is being organised by Bridgehouse Brewery, and sponsored by Timothy Taylor’s.

A Bridgehouse Brewery spokesperson says: “We are excited to bring Grouse Fest to life and support such an important local charity.

“With fantastic music, great food and a welcoming atmosphere, it is a brilliant way for the community to come together and give back.

“It promises to be a fun-filled weekend for people of all ages.”

Admission will be £2.50 for adults, and £1 for children.

Onsite camping, for tents and motorhomes, is available. There is a £5 per tent charge.

A percentage of all proceeds will go to Manorlands.
