Wise Music Group signs Spanish composer Raquel García Tomás | Publishing


Wise Music Group’s Union Musical Ediciones has signed a long-term publishing agreement with Spanish composer Raquel García Tomás.

García Tomás joins the roster of Union Musical Ediciones alongside Spanish classical composers including Albéniz, Granados, Vives, Turina, Mompou, Toldrá, Esplá and Guridi, as well as contemporary composers Benet Casablancas, Ramón Paus, Ricardo Curto and Joan Valent. 

García Tomás was recently awarded the Premio Nacional de Cultura by the Catalonia government. Her latest orchestral work, Ceci N’est Pas Une Valse, was premiered by Real Filharmonia de Galicia last November, conducted by Baldur Brönnimann. 

Her most recent work, Vols Brisés for cello and choir, was premiered by Nicolas Alstaedt at Palau de la Musica, Barcelona in May.
