Zootown Music Festival To Help Boost Missoula Economy | Missoula News

MISSOULA, Mont. – The Zootown Music Festival, set to take place at the Missoula Fairgrounds, promises to be a significant event for the city, featuring headliners Kacey Musgraves and Hozier. This is Missoula’s first major music festival, and it’s already making waves beyond the music scene.

Tickets are selling quickly, and the festival not only brings top musical acts but also showcases local food, breweries, and vendors, all set against Montana’s beautiful landscape.

Scott Osborn, a founder and the festival director, shared insights into the festival’s impact on the local economy. “We see as a great net value to the local community from an economic impact perspective, hotels, restaurants, retail, small business spending, and everything in between,” he said.

The festival’s positive impact extends to local businesses. Osborn noted, “Every one that we’ve really encountered has opened us with welcome arms. And so, a lot of businesses are thinking about staying open over the 4th of July when they would normally be closed because of the influx of people.”

The event has attracted partnerships with local entities such as FNB hospitality, the Missoula PaddleHeads, and the Clark Fork River Market.

Additionally, the Missoula PaddleHeads are hosting a game and will give away free festival tickets, a chance for attendees to support their local team and secure entry to the popular event.

For those interested in a unique experience that supports both local culture and economy, the Zootown Music Festival is an event not to be missed.
