Redwood Coast Music Festival brings four days of performances to Eureka

The Redwood Coast Music Festival returns to Humboldt County Thursday, October 2 through October 5, for its 33rd year, filling multiple venues across Eureka with the sounds of jazz, blues, swing and more.

The four-day event features over 40 bands and more than 200 musicians at venues including the Adorni Recreation Center, the Red Lion Hotel and various downtown locations. Organizers say the festival has grown significantly since its inception in 1991, when it was primarily a jazz-focused event. Now it is recognized as one of the premier music celebrations on the North Coast.

Festival board president Deb Allen said the variety of artists and genres is what makes the event unique and enjoyable for everyone. “We have Grammy Award-winning and Grammy-nominated artists that come from all over the country,” Allen said. “We have swing, we have blues, we have western swing, we have zydeco, we have Cajun, we have all kinds of music.”

The event not only showcases national and local talent, but it also boosts the Humboldt County economy. Organizers anticipate thousands of attendees will be in hotels, restaurants and on downtown streets throughout the weekend.

With its blend of world-class performers and community-driven atmosphere, the Redwood Coast Music Festival continues to be a highlight for both locals and visitors. Tickets are available online and at the door.
