Billed as the master of New Age music, Kitaro has enchanted many with his spiritual soundscapes, woven together with timeless melodies and traditional Japanese instruments with a dash of electronica.

The Japanese musician-composer, known for tunes such as Caravansary (1983) and Matsuri (1990), last performed at the Sands Theatre in June 2024. On Sept 17, he will take the stage at The Star Theatre.

In 2023, he celebrated the 35th anniversary of Daishizan Seidai-ji Temple in Japan with a breathtaking concert before the Echizen Daibutsu, the country’s tallest seated Buddha. That performance is captured in his live album, Zen: Live In Katsuyama, released in August 2024, featuring a new taiko-infused piece, Prayer For Mother Earth.
