There is no summer in Spain without music festivals—and nowhere embraces that truth more than the Valencia region. With July and August packed full of headline acts, beachside stages and diverse music styles, the Comunitat Valenciana is once again staking its claim as one of the country’s leading destinations for live music.

The season kicks off with Pirata Beach Festival in Gandia (9–12 July), one of the top draws for fans of Spanish rock, rap and alternative. This year’s line-up includes Soziedad Alkohólika, Lia Kali and La Fúmiga (10 July); Residente, Oques Grasses and Fermín Muguruza (11 July); and on 12 July, a grand finale featuring La Raíz, Kase.O, Fernando Costa and Riot Propaganda.

The legendary FIB Benicàssim returns from 17–19 July with a mix of international indie and rock acts: Thirty Seconds to Mars, Bloc Party and Olly Alexander (17); Foster the People, Love of Lesbian, Ginebras and León Benavente (18); and a strong closing night on 19 July with The Black Keys, Residente, Viva Suecia and Tom Meighan.

Running almost parallel is Zevra Festival in Cullera (18–21 July), where genres collide with performances from Jason Derulo, Estopa and Jhayco. Further south, Benidorm hosts the Low Festival (25–27 July), bringing together synth-pop icons Pet Shop Boys, The Kooks, Bomba Estéreo, Viva Suecia, Carolina Durante and the electrifying Argentine duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso.

Viveros nights and harbour-side rhythms

Valencia city offers its own strong concert calendar throughout July. The Concerts de Vivers (10–25 July) in the city’s lush gardens will feature acts such as Vanesa Martín (10), Europe (11), The Human League (15), Luis Fonsi (19), Simple Minds (20), and Kream by Alvama Ice (25).

Meanwhile, the Ciutat de València stadium hosts big Spanish and Latin pop names like Rigoberta Bandini (5 July), Carín León (13), Miguel Bosé (16), Leiva (19), and Arde Bogotá (26). Over at the Marina Nord and FAR València, fans can catch Fito Páez (10 July), Molotov (11), Los Planetas (17), Los Manolos (25), and Santana (31), among others.

Adding a splash of rock royalty, the Palau de les Arts will welcome Robert Plant with Saving Grace and Suzi Dian on 28 July—a rare treat for classic rock enthusiasts.

August: soundwaves and legends

August doesn’t let up. From 30 July to 3 August, Arenal Sound takes over Burriana with what is expected to be one of the country’s largest festival audiences. Expect high-energy shows by Jhayco, Melendi, Bad Gyal, Rels B, Steve Aoki, Cano, Omar Montes, and La Fúmiga.

Also in Cullera, the Medusa Festival (7–11 August) delivers an all-electronic line-up with EDM titans like Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Fatima Hajji and Charlotte de Witte performing across multiple stages in a massive beach setting.

Metalheads and hard rock fans head to Villena for the Leyendas del Rock festival (6–9 August), with acts like Powerwolf, Beast in Black, Within Temptation, W.A.S.P. and Peyton Parrish. One week later, the same town hosts Lagartija Rock (16–17 August), leaning into Spanish rock and ska with La Raíz, Riot Propaganda, El Drogas, La Fuga, Canteca de Macao and La Fúmiga.

For fans of pop and indie with a Spanish twist, Mediterrània Festival (14–16 August) in Gandia offers performances by Mikel Izal, Fangoria, Dani Fernández and Siloé.

Reggae roots and 30 years of Rototom

No roundup would be complete without Rototom Sunsplash in Benicàssim (16–23 August), celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The legendary reggae festival will feature global icons like Shaggy, The Wailers, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Tarrus Riley and Burning Spear, reaffirming its status as one of the most important reggae gatherings in Europe.

With so many festivals crammed into two months, the Comunitat Valenciana is offering not just music but a full-on cultural takeover. From intimate garden gigs to epic beach raves and rock marathons in the mountains, summer 2025 is shaping up to be unforgettable for music lovers across every genre.
